Kèr Sterfíhsāsh (Sterfíh /səˑʃ/ [fight] [hobby]) is a subtropical Town located in the Altodålph Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Kèr Sterfíhsāsh is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Sterfíhsāsh was founded by Feiror Guynner, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh has a yearly average temperature of 28°C (82°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Kèr Sterfíhsāsh receives an average of 193 cm/y (75 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Kèr Sterfíhsāsh covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 4556 m (14947 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh was founded durring the early 15th century in winter of the year 1449, by Feiror Guynner. The establishment of Kèr Sterfíhsāsh was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Kèr Sterfíhsāsh's construction back out of the project. Feiror Guynner pushed on reguardles, and Kèr Sterfíhsāsh was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Sterfíhsāsh is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of premissive packed earth streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. The town's robustly designed timber walls have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

The town shows nothing out of the ordinary, at first glance. Then you start to notice all the small things. Each window has seven iron nails pounded into the sill. Every door has a sprig of holly overhead. Every well is branded with purity seals and runes to ward the contents. Everyone is carrying a small charm for safety or fortune, be it a rabbit’s foot, a horseshoe, or other little totems.

Civic Infrastructure

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Kèr Sterfíhsāsh.

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Kèr Sterfíhsāsh's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh's locals despise outsiders. For some “outsiders” may be natives of foreign lands, while others might have a grudge against anyone from outside the community. These locals have an active loathing, and the outsiders allowed to trade or interact with them do so at a heavy disadvantage.

Kèr Sterfíhsāsh's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

Due to the actions of local Kami, autumn is skipped in Kèr Sterfíhsāsh.
